150 portraits of celebrities from the United States, France and the Middle East.

Each portrait will be part of a limited edition of 4, signed by the artists, and framed. From September 2009 till January 2011, the full collection will be displayed around the world at several exhibitions. Beginning in 2011, 3 major gala dinners will be organised in Dubai, Los Angeles and Paris. During each Gala Dinner, one portrait of each artist will be auctioned. The last portrait numbered 4/4 will be auctioned on the website. All the money raised by selling the pictures, from donations, from sponsorships, and from the sales of the book will help to build, equip, and run for the next 3 years 2 schools in Africa.

On this website anyone can see the portraits, bid online, and make donations. The website will provide information about the project and will be updated regularly accordingly to the shooting sessions that Christophe D. PETYT  will be running with the celebrities. The website will also provide the opportunity to purchase subsequently the Stars & Charity book that will include all the portraits as well as the possibility to order posters of the signed portraits.

The Stars & Charity Committees

There will be 3 Stars & Charity Committees. The US Committee, the French and the UAE one. Each committee will have 5 members composed with 2 local celebrities in each region and 3 local dignitaries. The duty of the committees will be to control the accounts of the events, approve the expenses and the marketing strategy as well as to nominate an independent audit company that will write a full report on the financial situation of the project. At the end the committees will select the country where the schools will be built and will select the charity organisations that will receive our financial support. Their last duty will be to follow up with the construction of the schools. The members of the committees will be although providing suggestions and comments on suggestions concerning project that Stars & Charity Fund could develop. Some of the ideas would be such as to built a fund to finance studies for local teachers from the selected country in Africa to study and improve teaching methods to provide in Stars & Charity Schools. Being a long term basis project the Committees will although investigates and decides on strategies to raise more money in order to be able to provide sufficient funds to finance every year each of the Stars & Charity Schools.

The members of the committees will be travelling to attend the 3 charity gala dinners in Los Angeles, Paris and Dubai.
